Coffee At Its Best

Liberalization in the 90's changed not only the way we did business but also our culinary habits.The invasion of the MNCs and BPOs increased the tempo of our work and added long working nights.This new work culture which emphasized on efficiency and time saving measures came hard on us. We got introduced to caffeine in the 18th century from Arabia, its popular use started especially as a result of the BPO boom and intoduction of international coffee chain which show no signs of decreasing. Caffeine helps in an instant boost of energy and alertness .
The trend of having food with coffee is rising in india especially among the urban youths and coffee when best paired with the right kind of food brings of the best of coffee and the food.
There is a lot to consider when pairing food with coffee. It requires a deep understanding of coffee as it comes in more than simply a dark or a light roast variety .
Light roast tend to be crisp and bright so they go well with breakfast items whereas the dark variety is best paired with rich food like chocolate, nuts and meat.
The other factors that needs to be considered while pairing coffee with food is the aroma, body, flavour and the geographic origin of the coffee.
The three main geographical regions where coffee is produced are Latin America, Asia -Pasific and Africa- Arabia.
The Latin American coffees generally come with clean and lively flavours and with their crisp brightness and great balance best compliments sweet and tangy flavours. Coffees from Africa-Arabia combine crisp acidity with enticing fruit or wine flavours and make an exciting match with food thus resulting in exotic flavour combinations And the Asia-Pacific's earthy and full bodied coffees go best with salty and savoury foods.

Cakes- Coffee paired with cakes are a classic.
Columbian coffee goes really well with carrot cake,
Arabica coffee best teamed with chocolate mousse cake are great and chocolate cakes are delicious with most medium or dark roast coffees,
Lattes go best with flavoured cakes .
Croissants - The croissant and coffee combination is amazing, try croissant with a cappuccino to enjoy it better .
Muffins - Muffins work really well with most of the coffees, try muffins with Mexican coffees.

Eggs Bacon and Sausages - Medium-roast coffee goes well with American-style breakfast.
Wheat Toast - This grainy breakfast is best with light or medium roast Columbian and Brazilian coffees .
Quiche - Pacific Island coffees best compliment Quiches .
The concept of Coffee pairing is not as popular as Wine pairing but is evolving and fast catching
up but nevertheless pairing coffee with a range of delicacies brings together taste, articulation and exploration .
